Thanks for traveling to Oklahoma City. Hope you made plans to attend the 63rd NSDC in Little Rock.
Greetings from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the home of the 62nd NSDC. We are the Vice Chairman of Youth,
Hanspeter Hoehn and Helga Brown, from Lawton, OK.
The Youth/Family Hall will provide the foundation for fun and activities for the youth. It will give them a
chance to get acquainted with the youth that will attend the convention, and to get reacquainted with the friends
they made at past conventions. The Youth/Family Hall will give them the chance to dance with dancers of their
own age group.
Having the youth in square dancing is vital to the growth of square and round dancing for generations to come.
The Youth/Family Hall will provide a place where the youth can dance and socialize with other young people
from all over the United States and the World, and hope they will make friends and keep them for years to
This is a family activity and we need the parents to help keep ―Youth Square Dancing‖ alive and well. We will
have a youth and family hall with a divider down the middle so the youth that want to dance with the adults and
older youth can do so in the same hall.
The Youth/Family hall will have national callers calling in the hall along with any caller that is put on the
program, they looking forward to an upbeat dance.
We have no round dancing programmed in the Youth/Family Hall.
There will be an area sectioned off for the folks that just want to watch the Youth/Family; this will include the
non-dancing parents.
