We invite you to Little Rock, Arkansas for the 63rd National Square Dance Convention®, ―Rock-N-Little
Rock‖, June 25 – 28, 2014.
Why come to Little Rock? First, Its Arkansas’s first National Square Dance Convention and we’re going all
out to make it your most memorable Convention. Second; You will have the opportunity to visit Arkansas’s
Capital, President William Jefferson Clinton Library, McArthur Park, The Old Statehouse Museum, USS
Razorback submarine, Crater of Diamonds State Park, Crystal Bridges Museum, Garven Gardens, Hot Springs
with its Bathhouse Row and many more attractions. Third; Dining, Shopping in the River Market just a short
walk or trolley ride from the Convention Center. Walk along the Arkansas River on the River Walk, a great
place for exercise or just enjoy the outdoors. Most of this is located in the heart of downtown Little Rock and
the rest easily accessed either by the Trolley or our tours.
The Statehouse Convention Center, Marriott Hotel (host hotel) and the Robinson Center will house all our
activities. The Statehouse Convention Center with its Governors Halls is where you’ll find the Advance
dancing in Governor Hall I, Mainstream, Governors Hall II, and Plus, Governors Hall III, with Exhibitions.
Governors Hall IV will be the Vendors Hall. A food court will also be located in Governors Hall I. Round
Dance Halls will be in the Wally Allen Ballrooms, Phase 3/4, Ballroom A, Phase 5/6, Ballroom B and Phase
2/3, Ballroom C. Other dance halls housed in the Statehouse Convention Center include the Youth/Family Hall,
Contra, Clogging and others.
The Marriott Hotel, formerly the Peabody Hotel, in the same building as the Statehouse Convention Center is
our host hotel and home to our Rounds/Squares and Challenge dance halls. Education seminars, panels and sew
and save will be located in the Marriott Conference Center. Complete or start the Leadership Certification
Program. Those of you who began the program at the 62nd National Square Dance Convention
City in 2013 may complete the program in Little Rock. All these areas are accessible via escalators, elevators
and stairs for your convenience.
A short walk under the oak tree shaded sidewalk brings you to the Robinson Center. The Robinson Center
houses the Robinson Exhibition Hall where our Wednesday Night Special Dinner will be served followed by
the Ronnie McDowell entertainment in the Robinson Music Hall. Ronnie has several hit songs to his credit, has
sang Elvis songs in movies and is an excellent entertainer that we are proud to have as our entertainment and
know you will be pleased by the experience. The Robinson Music Hall will also be home to our Fashion Show
on Saturday, June 28th at 1:00 pm.
